Has anyone out there fitted the touratech Desierto II cockpit fairing/screen? It looks the mutts nuts but is it as good as it looks?

My very good friend Mr Henry Mawson Esquire has one, also.

I`m not sure if you can PM him any more, but try it if you`re curious.

Desierto

I was interested in one of these and as luck would have it I saw one fitted to a GSA on the touratech stand at the BMF a week ago. Not so impressed close up i'm affraid, I cant believe they're asking £425 (approx) for it, the screens quite small and the complete fairing doesn't look as if it's that effective. On top of that it comes unfinished so you have to paint it yourself, I won't be buying one now.

I have only seen it in TT catalogue! dont suppose you took any pics you could post? i was aware it is unpainted but it looks big in the catalogue not be so keen if its not up to much.:(

Desierto

Sorry no photos, it is certainly smaller than it looks in the TT book, I think the paint scheme helps there. If someone told me it was worth £150 that would be about right, but £425 someone's having a laugh, much better to spend your money on a set of tobinators and an after market screen (Cee Baileys do some nice ones) or the TT wind deflector this really works if you can live with the fastening strap ( i cut mine off and it still seems to be fine).
Please don't get me wrong i've purchased some of the TT products and they are great quality and work well, but this fairing is way over priced and in my opinion needs to be bigger and finished properly. Cheers

not many of these around
so you would be in an exclusive group:D
did you get to see mr mawson?not sure if his is the 1100 one?

Here's Henry's one. I have to say it looks great. His is however a complete one-off made especially for him from carbon fibre.
