Detail not increasing

Bare with me folks, and please answer like I'm a complete techno numpty, because I am.
I've recently uploaded basecamp to a new laptop,well I think I have. The problem I am experiencing is, that when I try to increase the map detail from low through to highest, it doesn't change the detail on the map. Any help greatly appreciated.

Have you selected something other than the Global Map in the ribbon at the top? I have City Nav NTU 2026.1 in mine below:

I think you have only loaded the base map, not the detailed map.

To load the detailed map, you need to connect your device to your PC and follow the instructions.

What does Basecamp say under >Maps >Manage Map products.
Maybe the map is not registered (installed) correctly.

Have you installed Garmin Express as well? This will update maps to your device (if an older Zumo or BMW Nav) and allow you to install those maps to your new laptop.
