Did a detailed review of the new ChatterBox XBi Bluetooth communicator for motorcycles.

Bluetooth 2.0, Stereo, can stream music, and it has an analog port for "old fashion" music input (MP3, CD player, radio).

Has a few quirks though....

That's a good comprehensive review, thanks.

My only comment on the unit is that what's the point of manufacturing a motorcycle BT unit (or any other equipment) that is not waterproof?

Tomtom did it with the original Rider, at totally pointless exercise.

So I've got to give it 1 out of 10 as a motorcycle accessory.

None of the helmet units are rain proof... Scala, CellularLine, Hello, etc all say to cover it when there's a real downpour..

Mind you, they can all take normal rain, and if it's really raining that hard, either you'll probably stop yourself, or the wind will form a "shield" for the unit. I've been using these devices now for years, and have never had a problem due to rain...
