Might still have gates locked across half of them at Easter? Whitsun BH weekend would be a better bet. :)

Roads still closed at Easter? I doubt that unless we get a particularly hard winter like the one we had in 1841.

Whitsun BH  Oh aye. As celebrated by the residents on Skye :D

This is one of the coaches from the company I drive for now at the elbow sometime in the 50s I think.

Not a trip I would relish with a crash geabox and drum brakes.

Don't you get a BH at the end of May?
I thought you guys got all our proper BHs we just don't get your ones on account of you don't have much of a bank left?:augie

Is it really the highest public road in britain or was that just the old days too?
I thought the lecht (tomintoul's the highest village) or cairn o mount would be higher....
I wouldn't have thought the Cairn'omount came anywhere close to either Glenshee or the Lecht:nenau

I do like the idea of heading over some of the highest roads over a weekend though as it would mean a visit to Applecross at some point;)

I'd edited my last post but in between posting and editing, you've quoted me in. That's fine. :thumb2

But what goes on in here is my business and I'm paid very handsomely by the BHT to make it so...

No. You are a moderator. Your job is to moderate. No moderation was required (you clearly just like seeing your words up on the screen) therefore it was not your business. Like it. Lump it. I care not.
