Well I won’t argue about the cream teas but if you are ever around the Welcombe area and want to treat someone special to an outstanding full on afternoon tea experience try the Rectory tea rooms in Morwenstow
Not cheap and you’ll need to book 24hrs ahead for them to prepare all the pastries but something you won’t forget
(or digest) in a hurry ️

Morwenstow is over the border in bandit country but we might try it

Went to Plymouth Poly back in the mid 80's. Loved it down there. I had a car so was able to edxplore the area....long before Sat Nav's google and Iphones....
One of our favourite Sunday evening pub places was in the small village West Devon called Milton Combe
Stayed a couple of years ago and it was loverly.
