Me n the misses have booked a mini cruise from Newcastle on DFDS planning on getting the train down then using DFDS's bus service to get to the boat.
Question is where do we get the bus ? Anyone know ?#
cheers

I would imagine the bus will run from Newcastle Central Station to the ferry terminal, but not having used it I couldn't be sure.

You'll need a bus from Newcastle to Royal quays in North Shields.
If you're stuck give me a shout:thumb2

this should help

Remortgage your house if you're planning on drinking during your voyage. The DFDS bar prices are extortionate now. I was over in July and was forced to open my "Duty Free" bottle of whisky in a darkened corner of the lounge :augie

Sorry for the slight off topic post but hope it helps :beerjug:

Dedicated bus from Central Station, and then from Ijmuiden ferry terminal to Amsterdam.

As Ronno says it's rip-off time on the boat, get yourself some Greggs for the way out and summat in Amsterdam for the way back.

AND TAKE YOUR OWN BEER!!! It's about 3 quid a pint on the boat.

For unfriendly help from the natives, wear thisMmm Nopef

And this is poor but may help if you need native advice!https://shop.nufc.co.uk/cgi-bin/live/ecommerce.pl?site=theclubshop_nufc&state=page&page=splash&menu=menu&suppress_header=yes

Why NUFC need a third strip is beyond me, unless the away strip is that awful? :augie

Oh and try this is you get stuck with the lingo

The Central Station is a main station, theres a tourist info in the centre of the place as you leave on your left.

Agree with the comments on the prices of the ferry regarding beer / food. I went 3 years ago to Stravengar and it was still pricey on the ferry.
