Budget an extra £30 for the waterproof inner booties. I use Diadora MX5's with sealskins & Diadora's inner boots from these to keep my tootsies warm & dry.

Try Mick Byrnes for TCX Infinity gortex boots ...very nice...about 180.:aidan

Surely the silver Gaffa tape hasn't worn out on the old boots? I wid be askin fur a reeefund ,ye jist cana buy quality these days:augie

Aye, I finally peeled it off last week. Me and the Gaffa tape have covered many a happy mile since Shetland and the Bunkhaus bash, but it was only right that I do the decent thing and let old and trusted gaffa tape friends go before they begin to suffer......:tears

Rabs - thanks for the info, I've got the TCX's on shortlist at the mo.

Paul, I've no problem with wearing sealskinz, although the Stone 3's allegedly have waterproof membrane (don't believe it'll be waterproof for a minute - even my Berghaus Gore-tex boots leak), I think I'll invest in some Sealskinz whatever I do.....

Had the Stones for the last two & half years and nice comfy boots. Not to tight and not to soft either. Definitely not waterproof after a long haul in the rain. Would definitely buy another pair once these die in a few years.
