Have just tried a suggestion from another site on my Zumo 550. If you press the touch screen in the top right corner between the clock and the battery indicator while the Zumo is switched on but using it's internal battery you get a whole lot of menu driven diagnostic stuff. Haven't had a good look at it, and not sure if it's of relevance but thought others might like to have a look.
