Did BMW come with an improved Fuel Pump Controler at some stage?

Hi,
heard recently that that there is a better (hopefully) FPC available than the one originally fitted to my bike (05 mod).

Have not had trouble with it so far, however, if not to save me from a dead bike at the roadside so at least for the peace of mind I would like to carry a spare one as many others do. Just want to avoid to buy some old crap.

Does anybody know if there is a new version out there and possibly also know how to identify it or having a part-number?

i believe there is a new part and that it is black. old one's are bare ali.
