A strange question probably, but did the length of the front brake hoses change during the model run on either ABS or non ABS models?

Banjos and other fittings changed a few times. So if the hose length was changed it was very slight and just to accommodate the altered fittings. There was no official revamp. With new part numbers. This is why changing hoses can be a tad.... Problematic. And why some makers demand the originals to copy.

That was what I suspected having checked through the listings of several suppliers. All had only one kit for the entire production run.
The reason I asked is that my bike is currently having new front lines fitted and the ones that HEL supplied were the wrong length. They have told my mechanic that my bike must be a 95 model, not a 97 model. Looks like they are talking out of their arses trying to cover up for the fact they have sent the wrong hoses :blast. I know he ordered the correct ones as I was stood there when he phoned them.
I have just seen the thread about HEL lines so I will check and test them VERY thoroughly

Bought some from HEL about 18 months ago for an 1100, they wouldnt sell me a kit because they had so many issues with lengths of BMW lines. I had to measure each hose and confirm the banjo fittings over the phone. (I didnt want to send the old ones as a pattern).

Might be worth having a search seem to remember Steptoe gave up selling them because there were too many variations..............then again I may have dreamt that part.

You didn`t dream it. It is in the thread I mentioned earlier.
