Have to agree with “Don’t test ride” I picked up my bike a few weeks ago, rode home, thought mmmmm.. Not sure how this is going to go. Completed the 600 mile initial run in within 3 days. Still not sure! Waited a couple more days then off on a tour of many castles that ended off at Neuschwanstein near Fussen. What can I say, the bike handled the Autobahn with ease, handled narrow twisty wet roads (when lost) in the Black Forrest and all of this two up and loaded like an Afghani mule.
Despite the high cost of the bike and all the other bits and bobs (I have lost count of what has been spent). Despite the fact that the weather was total shite. We had a great time. Memories were made that will last a life time. It wasn’t until we had been home for a couple of days and decided to take a run down to Wales that I finally realised how much I like this bike. Riding it day in and day out you just kind of take it for granted and never give much thought to it. We were both taking more interest in the places we were riding through. In our view this is a bike doing what it should.
Now we are both smitten and just can’t get enough of riding. Surely this is what it’s all about not how much the machine costs or what gizmos you have or is this one better than that. In short this bike has rekindled my love for riding. So much so that we have a loose plan for our next trip in July, rough destinations and no set time is the way we like it but Rome is looking very good…..Can't wait to try out that new Sargent seat as the original made us feel like we had just came last in an arse kicking contest.

Nice One!

I didn't test ride either and just wanted an 1150GSA. It took a week or so of riding and I realised the same as you.

Well done. :thumb2
