Hi
I used to have a f650gs mostly for commuting and I used a Givi E45 top box as it was so damn handy, stuck my laptop bag in there, helmet in there when i got to work, shopping on the way home, no thoughts of extra pannier width. Didn't particularly like the look of it but it was ok.
Now I've got an 800GS and I need luggage. I am still thinking top box for its uses, still commuting but have the option to travel further afield now. But these new Givi's look awful in my opinion and I think on the 800 would look worse. I don't want to spend too much if I can avoid it. Would like a box that has a chance of fitting a helmet. I could spend £150-200 for a Givi Trekker which looks a bit better. Before I do, anyone got any views on what looks ok on an 800GS and might be a another option? I could get one of the newer Givi's for sub £100 but just can't bring myself to.
Any views to help me would be good, thanks!

I had a 800gsa. I had a cheapo black 2 helmet 49 litre one quick release that cost £15. Nobody laughed. It's now on my w/c 1200gsa. What would I change? I'd buy a bigger one if I could get one. JJH

thanks folks, anyone got a pic of one on an 800gs?

I can show you one on my GSA 800 in the IOM 2 years ago. Not really for the style concous. Send your email. I'm relatively new here and haven't learned how to put photos on here yet. JJH

Here is a small cheap Givi on the F800gs, no special fittings, just a few bits of pipe and the basic base plate, done lots of miles with no trouble.

We have a few different size Givi boxes in the garage, they all fit the same mounting plates.
