My bulb popped the other day, one of those philips +50% ones, so I replaced it with the original dipped beam bulb. Now the bike thinks the dipped beam has gone when plainly it works :spitfire I`ve tried the other spare bulb, disconnected the battery for a min or 2 but that bloody warning light is still up
Any ideas how I can cancel it bearing in mind my nearest dealer is a 200ish mile round trip away :nenau

Cheers

Yep, start it up and go for a ride :) Seriously though, the warning light does not go out with only switching on the ignition but requires the engine to run etc... not sure why, one of those canbus things I presume :augie

Make sure all the bulbs are working, including the side light bulb, sometimes it's easy not to notice that it's blown :o

The only way my dipped beam will come on is with the engine running so yes, I`ve tried it!
All other bulbs seem to be ok, I did notice the warning went out the other day & I thought that was sorted but it came back on again :( I`ve been using the bike to commute between 17 & 20 miles depending on main or twisty road :D so it`s getting a good run :D

Sounds like you need to visit your dealer for them to reset the bikes fault memory as the light works but the warning is false. IMHO YMMV

Thats no bloody good, 200 miles to reset a light :spitfire It`s coming up to it`s 12k service before long so I`ll just stick a bit of black tape over it :augie
