I fitted some aux lights [fogs] on the bike, wired them into the Main Beam wire by mistake, so they only came on with the main beam. As I wanted them to be on with the dip, I scotchlocked the wire onto the dip beam.
Now I have no dipped beam at all, main and pilot light fine, rear light fine, bulb fine, fuses appear fine.
They are wired through a relay and illuminated switch and worked ok on main beam.

Help!

Thanks in anticipation

Fergus

Has the scotchlok :barf severed the wire completely?

Better using spade connectors or I prefer to solder the wires as Scotchloks :barf don't like vibration or the damp. ;)

Have you tried Fuse 8. In the book it says it's not used and most think it is a spare. I found out after ripping the loom apart and tracing the wires back to the fuse box. Worth a second look.

Cheers

Wire to dipped beam was fine, fuse 8 was fine, mucked about with bulbs and found the dip bulb blown, replaced it with spare - voila!

Problem now is main beam fecked, changed bulbs around and still no main beam.

Given up for today, will try another new bulb tommorow.

Spots work great tho`

Thanks again.
