Maverick - Dirk - posted this last month..........."Would like to meet up in February with you guys for a last time, I can't do the 4th week though as we are flying back permantly to South-Africa on the 25th. Any chance it can be the 3rd week this month"


So a supernumerary meet to say our farewells.

How anyone wants to move away from the sh*te weather here is beyond comprehension but lets find out on Wednesday.

Hope a suitable number can come along and say farewell.

At the moment the river level is so high that there is as much depth and width of water on the road the pub side of the bridge as you would normally find in the ford. The pub's still open but you might be wise to come in the Sparepenny Lane way through Farningham if we get any more rain this week.

Thanks for that Lol. I'll have a reconnoitre on Tuesday and post up the state of the river. Last month the river was in full flow but only a bit on the road on the pub side of the bridge. As you say - Sparepenny Lane would be a safer way in

Good evening chaps! I am due to fly out next week Tuesday and everything was fine until today where our house sale is at the verge of falling through and several other things just rearing it's ugly head. As our movers are coming in Monday I am running out of time to pack up things. I am sorry to say It does not look like I will have time to get down to Eynsford for a last one! You guys are of course all welcome to come visit me in the crap warm South-Africa at any time

i will do a post, update in time once we are settled in and probably bore you all with pictures of blue skies and never ending gravel roads - no need to thank me now!

We will be back at some point for holiday or who knows and hope to catch you guys the, as we say here in Essex .....later yeah!

Sorry that you won't be able to make it - we'll revert back to our usual fourth Wednesday and talk about you rather than with you
