....any after market suggestions for preventing the rear shock from crud, cack, moo poo and the usual??

...should do the trick, but might resort to a rear hugger even though it is not so pleasing to the eye. Thanks though.
Just fitted a carbon hugger to my 57 R1200gs and it does a great job of keeping all the crap away from the shock and underside of the rear frame. ��
