Dirty throttle bodies and butterflies

After a deep deep servicing.. changing TPS changing all coils with beru cleaning all sensor's and injector's..a found that throttle bodies wey much dirty and the inside paint start to fade a lot... I removed and fully restored it.. cleaned and polished.. tomorrow will install on bike again and synchronize..

I believe (but willing to be corrected) that the throttle bodies are calibrated and factory set and thus should not be adjusted other than by the throttle cable adjusters during balancing. The throttle stop adjuster used to be factory painted in place and capped with a small plastic cover.

By stripping them down for cleaning you may have caused yourself more issues.

They do look much better when clean though.

Did you remove the idle stepper motors and clean the idle air bypass circuit. Mine were filthy inside, easy to park/reset these after cleaning with a GS911.

Of course only the cable's you can adjust..the butterflies stop should not be adjusted its from factory...just removed the butterflies and cleaned

Take care the little screws are loctited or peened to prevent them loosening.... as I am sure you have done!!

I think you can remove without touching the throttle cam stop screw which is factory-set. In any case you can also clean the throttle bodies without removing the butterfly although they don't end up looking quite that clean

Yeah we cant touch the stop screw..but can we remove the three secure torx screws and alla the system come off?beacuse i want to polish or Paint with safety the body..as you can see the colour is faded terrible..the correct coloyr was shiny like the part under the tube

Take the proper precautions..............make sure she’s out for the whole day before putting them in the dishwasher

Finally fitted and working as new.. really impressed of the idle running..and they look like new..
