Disappointed ... corrosion problems ... BMW 0, Honda 1

....have just bought a 20 mth old GSADV FSH private sale and I must say dissapointed at the usual Fork Gaiters, yoke, engine bolts rear suspension adjustment for a nigh on £10k bike...but I have to say as is the case with the previous owner some folk are careless with there kit and also some folk dont speak to there local dealers.....I took this bike to Allen Jeffries and they have replaced all the above with out a question...this is what we are paying for without a doubt there finest product is there warranty and the pride to stand by there product even to correct it at there exspense,no its not particularly pleasent to have to moan about the state of it but tackle it right and in my experience BMW staff are decent people....I sued a local Yamaha dealer(and won) over warranty claims...god only knows what ythey would have said about a private buy bike under warranty!!!
there's good and bad in most things at least BMW try to rectify it with a first class warranty good on them, get to the dealers and stake your claim :D

BWM Corrosion

"I prefer to ride it than worry about polishing it"

Have to agree with Richie here. Bought my 1100GS to ride & let the kids clean it as they're still in awe of their dad's bike! (Insert smiley bowing - can't find it).

Can't help but feel bad for those that like polishing their bikes & watching their hard earned cash disappear though.

I have worked on BMV,and all of the jap and italian makes over the last 30 years and there is nobody out there that can convince me that BMW is anyway inferia to any other bike!!!.
A well looked after bike will look after you for many a year ,but some economy models DO suffer faster,
I aways have a chuckle when a TV presenter says Honda build quality, If the japs where that good ,I would be out of buisness.

Bought my bike thinking it was a tough workhorse, hate to think what it would look like if I had really neglected it.
