Just disconnected battery to fit optimate lead, when reconnecting battery horn sounds constantly :confused. Any suggestions as to why or how to stop it without becoming violent?

If the horn is relay-fed, it sounds like the relay is simply stuck?

Being mechanically challenged wouldnt have a clue if it is relay fed. How would I know and how do you unstick it? Bike is only a week old, asked dealers but no technicians in today.

No alarm fitted, keyless entry. Tried pressing ignition with horn blowing, nothing happened

Disconnect the wires to the horn then reconnect the battery then try reconnecting the horn :nenau

Cut the wire on the horn.:D

Sorry, sounds like a reset issue.
If your dealer can't help then it MUST be an easy fix.
Just undo what you have done previously.
Disconnect battery with ignition off etc
Remove anything you have connected and see what's happening.
It can only be something you have done( of course the dealer isn't interested)
If all is now ok, ride carefully to dealer and get them to fit it correctly.
Because this is a brave new world and your input is only valid if you're prepared to pay

Is the battery re fitted the correct polarity? have you disconnected it and tried again no connections missed off, the start access appears to be not functioning
if the dash is dead with a warning top right, hold the key under the rear mudguard there is an indent almost level with the exhaust bracket, keep it there and press the start button, it may re set it,

Horn works off can bus not relay fed. Just disconnect at horn end till you get to dealers.e

Cheers Roamer, will give the key reset ago. Cant mix polarity cables not long enough to get wrong

Had to ask didn't think it could be wrong polarity, work in the motor trade its surprising what people manage to do,
i hope the transponder re sync works for you, don't take the key away like the manual says, give it 30 seconds then press the start button as its reading the transponder as a default , not the key radio signal, it happens on keyless cars,
as mentioned the switchgear is all lin bus, a battery re set can sort things out, i assume you have the little triangle symbol top right and dead instruments etc,
