I am totally disgusted! I have been out on my bike this week end. Set out Saturday afternoon with a good run down to see the relatives and the bloody GS NEVER went wrong once!

It didnt break down, the FPC never stopped, the FD didnt leak, nothing went wrong and now I'm disgusted that ive got nothing to winge about.

That's it! Im not buying a Honda! :blast

Off topic but we are not alone

On Saturday I was invited to a a driving experience day hosted by a transport company with links to the IAM. Now this was the first time I have driven an articulated lorry of any sort so it was a real eye opener, especially looking at how quickly you lose sight of what is going on behind you if turning corners or reversing. The thing I found interesting was the similarities I saw with the problems we see reported here. Now I guess you have to remember that the lorries where being used in an artificial environment by a bunch of novices but:-

On one the throttle stopped responding even though the engine was running normally at the time and the vehcile was in motion – Fixed by turning off and restarting. Normal service resumed.

Clutch overheat warning, shut down and restart, problem resolved.

ABS warning lights flashing on and off. Happens all of the time just ignore it.

A comment from one of the crew was, if you get a fault, turn it all of and wait a minute before restarting, the problem will probably go away.

Now does that sound familiar ?

Having said all that it was a great day and the 12 speed (or something) automatic gearbox was really good.

Take it to Cannon BMW in Essex. They'll sort that for you, but it'll cost.:augie

Mine is blue. I've turned the ignition on and off but it hasn't fixed the problem. I'd welcome any advice.
