Anyone recommend someone who could fix a Dishwasher reasonably?

Fault appears to be in the heating circuit and I'm suspecting much sucking of breath and talk of replacement PCBs and heater elements at £100+

Pair of Marigolds and a new bottle of Fairy Liquid, should do the trick:D:augie

Best roll your sleeves up too.....................you don't want wet cuffs :blast

Funnily enough, the lodger's been doing the washing up for us evertime she's in the kitchen cooking, but I'm getting the feeling that this won't last!

You'll have to take it to Wallsend but I know someone who will have a look at.

Of course you could also.............just buy a new one:hide

Not been to Vegas yet - that's the end of this month :D

Been looking at the fleabay for some cheap options, but as a card carrying Engineer I hate to be beaten by a bit of broken anything!

I've seen your wife Clem, she has two arms and looks well capable of washing dishes :augie

Bosch? Takes ages to run?

Usually it's the control pcb rather than the element. Google up the model for timer problems. My one went after 5 years, can't remember the exact cost for them to come fix it but it was around 100.

No question that the manpower & resources are in place, problem starts when Engineers get involved with maintenance, production or planning:augie

Clamp-on ammeter set to AC volts on the heater feed wire. No amps = open circuit failed element or controls/relay fault.

Is it a SMEG brand by any chance ? (Shouldn't Make Electrical Goods).

new one

our bosch packed in recently , would not heat water , ended up buying a cheapo indesit at £180 , does the job ok

Hotpoint.

Can't even locate the heater, can't see any wiring heavy enough for the heating.

New element or PCB is £100+, decent replacement dishwasher from Ebay is £150.

Oh how we hate the disposable society - but life's too short to fanny on too long!
