Disk drives multiplying?

For some reason my computer now thinks it has 9 disk drives. I can only find the one. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the icons from 'my computer'?

Sounds like you might have 'mapped' drive letters to folders, or to c:\ again. Try going to 'My Computer', 'Tools' and 'Disconnect network drive' and see if they show up there.

My guess is you have a multi-memory card reader and maybe a USB memory stick in your computer/printer or both

My Canon printer has just such a feature, my PC lists them as hard drives, my Mac doesn't, stoopid, stoopid Mac
