Distance between the aluminum cases on the GSA

Hi everyone, can anyone tell me what is the distance between the cases on the water cooled GSA, I bought a GSA with BMW side cases and is not here yet, want to buy a GIVI top case Trekker Outback which is 22 inch wide (it looks like is a better back rest on it for my wife and holds 2 full face helmet), would the top case interfere the opening of the BMW side cases?

I have just measured mine and the distance between the two is 42.5cm or 16 3/4".

So it would appear that a 22" wide top box would prevent the pannier lids being opened fully.

I have the GSA panniers and a Givi 46L top box, mounted on their universal plate.
The pannier lids open from the front to rear without a problem. They wont open fully from rear to front.

The Pannier lids open from both front and rear you can also remove them completely. The cable can be removed without any tools. I hope that this is what you are asking.

I have the GSA panniers and a Givi 46L top box, mounted on their universal plate.
The pannier lids open from the front to rear without a problem. They wont open fully from rear to front.

I have the Givi Outback Trekker58l on my GSA. To get the full pannier liners out I need to unclip both front and rear lid locks and lay the pannier lid on the pillion seat. Pannier liners are easy enough to lift out in this way.
