Ive been looking for a way to put my sat nav on the bike so that it looks neat...

2 x Denali bar mounted spotlight brackets that i had spare
1 x Black cupboard door handle from B&Q £7 a pair...
4 x Tap washers to suck up the vibration ;)

Job done, spot light holders attached to the handle bars either side of the handle bar mounts, powered nav holder attached with a bar mount, the door handle was only 12mm and the mount 13 so i had to add a shim (bit of tape...)

I have cabled the nav power lead back to the battery and spliced a spare battery charger tether connector to power the sat nav from the charger tether because the battery is a pig to get to, i always take off the nav anyway but i'll make sure to unplug the tether too just incase i get a flat battery but it works a treat.

Looks good. You could have made me some brackets for my exhausts. :)

A better picture, had a ride out yesterday, couple hundred miles on some country roads so relatively bumpy..., the rubber tap washers on the door handle mounts worked really well with no vibration at all on the sat nav, i'll add some rubber shims on the actual bar mounts when i can find some and do away with the self amalgamating tape but otherwise really pleased and all for under a tenner!. You could do it all from new with cheaper bar mounted spot light brackets, there are plenty on line for just a few ££ that would work just as well as the Denali's that i already had. Here's the door pull from B&Q.

To call that a bodge would be unfair

That’s a lovely bit of engineering.

I’ll have a go with my v85

Thanks.

That's a great bit of creative engineering! Good work

Out of interest, was there a reason you didn't use the USB connector under the front of the tank for the power supply?

Umm.... well two reasons really.... firstly i don't have a cable with a USB connection for the nav holder, the cable that is built into the nav holder had battery connectors on it that i spliced with the battery tether connector, but that said if i did have a cable.... i didn't know the USB was there ;) :blast
