I now have a 1300Gs moving up ftom the 1250Gsa.

This bike is fitted with the Shad rails and panniers and couldnt find anything to replace the toolbox as was previously fitted to the 1250 pannier rails.

After a few mock attempts with the tool box, I managed to come up with a fix, allowing the old toolbox to fit the 1300.

So, I thought I'd share with the collective here.

I used the mounting bracket from the original fittings as shown.

I filled in the original mounting holes on the sides and fitted this single bracket to the top of the toolbox with an additional support strip of aluminium on the inside.

I then drilled through the Shad frames and attached the toolbox to the frame, then a further hole nd a 2nd support bracket for strength and prevent movement.

Arg i wish I knew about this before!!

I went down the route of BMW frame bags as i could not come up with a decent solution to carrying a disc lock and wire rope!
