I have too many drones, so it’s time for a reduction in their numbers.
I’ve owned the MA2 from new and it was purchased by me from Jessops in May 2020 costing me just under £1000. It’s the Combo version so it comes with three batteries. Everything you see in the photos is what I am selling, nothing more, nothing less.

Included is the original box.
The black soft shoulder bag which holds the drone, controller and batteries plus a few spares.
Some ND filters.
Connection cables for Apple and Android devices. Designed to be used with a phone but you can use the IPad Mini with an appropriate extension holder.
Multiple battery charger for mains charger which will charge all three batteries at once.
Spare propellers.
Shortly after I bought it not unexpectedly I crashed it, I thought I was auditioning for Top Gun, (it was my first ever drone). 🙄 The gimbal snapped so I had the drone professionally repaired by replacing the gimbal. As the repair was conducted by an independent repairer rather than DJI themselves, the drone when connected to the controller displays a very small message on the phone’s upper left corner stating “Gimbal Calibration Error”. This in no way effects the performance or usability of the drone as everything works as it should and if necessary I am more than happy to demo the drone for any interested party should they wish.
It’s similar to having a third party repair shop replace a screen or battery in an iPhone as opposed to sending it to Apple. The phone will in the settings indicate a none Apple replacement part.
I’ve been using the drone without issue for four years after my ‘minor crash’ (should I call it an ATC, air traffic collision?), so I can vouch for the drone working perfectly.
Anyway here’s the pics, I’m looking for £325 posted which I believe still represents very good value for money. If you’ve ever fancied learning how to fly a drone but don’t want to risk losing £1000 + by crashing etc this is an easy drone to fly and learn with.

Drop me a PM if interested. 👍

144 views so some of you must be interested, how about someone putting in a cheeky offer, I may just say yes. 👍

Newbie to drones in general. Interested but can you confirm this one needs a licence even if used on your own property?

You basically need to complete a free knowledge check via the CAA website, this will then create for you a unique Flyer ID. All this is, is a simple check of your understanding of the rules and your responsibilities and once completed it’s valid for five years. It’s dead easy to pass and if you should fail, you just do it again, (remember it’s free).

Again via the CAA’s website you purchase an Operator ID for £11 which is valid for one year.

You don’t say how large your property is, if you live in a typical sized semi etc then you can’t take off and land in your garden but if you have a whopping big garden you may be able to. It all depends how close the neighbouring properties are etc. Everything is explained on the CAA’s website but from memory for this sized drone it’s 50 metres from people and 150 metres from buildings/structures etc.

I’ve used this drone mainly for filming in rural areas, parks, beaches, Moors etc where the restrictions I’ve mentioned above don’t really impact on my flying.

There is something called Article 16 which permits the user to fly a drone with slightly less restrictions but to be honest you’d be fine if you fly it as I’ve described above. You can have hours of fun with these things and the footage can get is breathtaking.

Looks interesting so just took my test without reading anything around it and passed as alot of it is based on common sense. Free and didnt take long to complete the 40 questions.

Exactly, it’s important to know what you can and can’t do but it ain’t rocket science. 👍

Thanks for all the info. Given this drone's weight and the type of use I envisage I think I'll be better off with one that is sub 250g. But GLWS. This looks like a great deal.

No problems at all. 👍
The sub 250g drones are excellent but have their limitations obviously. The main one being the likelihood of it being blown away on beaches, Moorland etc especially at higher altitudes where the wind strength can be much greater than at ground level.
I have a Mini 3 Pro which I use for less demanding stuff so it sounds like a Mini 3 or 4 would be ideal for you. 👍
