Ok, DNA air filter arrived and fitted!

I took more bits off the bike than I needed to - took the whole top tank cover off and undid the side panels on one side trying to find out how to get the air filter cover off. Then discovered that a little bit of brute force (using a screwdriver as a wedge) was required to remove the cover.

Very simple task (if you do it properly...):

Take the front cover off (2 screws and 2 push-in connectors)

Undo the 2 bolts holding the filter cover and wedge that out (the keyless fuel cap cable bundle gets in the way. I forced it out of the way - harder on the way back in - but easier to unclip the cable ties and redo after reinstalling the cover)

Pull the clamp on top of the filter straight out

Lift the air filter out and change!

No idea if it makes much if any difference but good to know that this was easier than trying to find the satnav plug

I really want a workshop manual for Xmas...

Is there one available yet? (Workshop manual)

And where was the satnav plug found?

I doubt you'll notice any change whatsoever performance wise but you may well get some nice extra induction noise :)

Nope

Under the fuel tank (I cheated and spliced the OEM cable)

That's what I'm hoping for :D
