I don't know what you mean about the screen hitting them at full lock?
The screen doesn't move?
A number of people have used the GSA winglets but they also changed the screen to a GSA. I think the fit is a little tight if you do not change the screen and modification is needed.
If you can spare the extra £130 go for the complete GSA set up.
I have Nippy Norman's winglets, they do just touch the standard GS screen when it's at about the 2nd down from top setting, but you can just fiddle with them by loosening the bolts to shift them around a tad. It's ok on all the other settings though. It's all pretty flexible material anyway so you can usually make do without making any alterations.
Where do you get it for that price. The upper brace alone is over £100. The full GSA setup with winglets is over £300 but from memory the winglets are only about £30 of that.
Apologies for my stupidly worded question, a blond moment, we all have them.
I wont be stumping up for the GSA screen, but will fit Winglets and will also try a laminar lip. Nippy Norman or BMW for the Winglets? Which are cheaper?
Good way to go purty, I recently fitted a laminar lip tp my GS, first impression was naff. then I played with the position for a day, in the correct position for your hight it work very well, cuts down on noise (my big complaint) and seriously improves rain protection.
For sure the best way to go appears to be the GSA package including winglets but as pointed out that is 300 pound +. Nippy norman winglets are 25 pound and the laminar lip (ordered over the net direct from US) is about 50 pound incl. delivery. The laminar lip looks pretty good on the GS also.
Normans are bigger, I think they're a tad cheaper too, though I never bothered asking at BMW. One annoying thing with winglets is when you wash the bike it's really hard to get dead flies out from under them, but they're so worth it.
It is a good way to go, I've got a touratech screen spoiler plus winglets, it's superb for me. Laminar lip probably does the job a bit better as it's more adjustable.
