It occurred to me that some of you might have a friend or relative who have an ambition to have a go at motorcycling but for various reasons are unable to take that big step and give it a go.
Reasons might be:
1. They've never ridden before
2. They are a bit nervous/scared
3. They don't want to invest in the cost of a CBT and then find out that it is not for them.
If so why not get them to come to one of our training school Open Days at RMT Motorcycle Training in Redditch or Birmingham?
On our Open Days we give people an opportunity to have a go for an hour in a car park for no cost at all. We provide all the safety gear and of course the bike (125 geared bike or twist and go moped). It is a safe controlled environment and the student is moved on at a pace suitable to them. In the hour we hope to get them able to pull away and stop in a safe manner and spend time riding around the car park just enjoying themselves and getting used to the thrill of being on a bike.
At the end of the session there is no obligation and if they decide that it is not for them then that is fine. The vast majority though come off the car park with a massive grin on their face and want to take it to the next step which is a CBT.
Basically it is a "try before you buy" opportunity before you go to the time and expense of booking training.
We have Open Days booked for every month in 2012 so there is plenty of opportunity to have a go.
