Kris: NI regulations and restricted bikes?

I'm not sure this applies to you but like you I'm from NI and passed my test this time last year. You mentioned having to wear 'R' plates for a year over here which is annoyingly the case. However according to my license I also have to ride a bike under 33bhp for the first 2 years. I would like to move onto a bigger GS quicker than that but reckoned I would have to ride a restricted 650 GS until next summer. Are you planning to get a restricted 1200GS? If so I wouldn't mind knowing what its like to ride.
