Doc does Spain with our lass

You could just start with the loop around the park? N621 to Riano - check that the roadworks are finished. N625 to Cangas de Onis - AS114 to Panes - back to Potes on the 621. Look for the stag and the bear 😀😀
That’s exactly the route I posted.
The roadworks are heading down the N621 to Potes and not between Potes and Riano.
The issue was the closure of the 621 due fire but it’s showing as open again today on Google Maps.

Thanks very much. I'm there on 8th September.

Wessie's route today. Weather is looking good.

And wondering if I might be able to get here before the road closures because of the fires.

You’ll be back by midday as it’s only 68 miles !

just seen the map of the 621 east of where the fire warning is

between san glorio and casa de la donas

omg - will you be able to do any of that at the mo?

That's an area that got off lightly. Fifteen fires still raging elsewhere ...

yes, the area south of Ponferrada has been burning for a long time. Some great roads there that are still closed e.g. road to Truchas over Puerto los Portillinos

Ride report.
Bend after bend after bloody bend. Changed gears a lot & braked a lot. Stunning scenery everywhere.
I was really pleased with my performance and no tears from Jayne on height issues.
Ride report over.

Screenshot ta. I'll hunt it out
comes on draught in some places. A bit weak compared to the Maestra, only 6.5%, not 7.5%, but you can order half litres!
Estrella Galicia is quite common as the "normal lager" on tap. If you see the logo, they are likely to have the 1906 in bottles if not draught.
