Doc does Spain with our lass

So you visited the bear! I've been there too - shit road covered in shit!
The N-621 is now known as cow shit alley. Bloody herds of them on there today. Bloody things frighten me to death.

We had to go up to the bear twice. First time it was so foggy you're could barely (sorry) see your outstretched hand. All the locals there were saying the view was spectacular in every direction, but I'd course we couldn't see jack. Next day we returned and it was as impressive as they'd described, 360 degree beauty.

Agreed. Think we have made the most of our time here and the weather has been great although a bit cool on the tops yesterday.

Lovely place . Geotim would spend all his time in the basement
Must have been one of your suggestions Martin. Looks a big place from the pictures.

Is that chicken, egg & chips ffs??
I think there’s something morally wrong about mixing chicken and eggs together. The Spanish and Mexicans do this a lot 🤔
The chicken wings was supposed to be a starter and came with fried eggs & chips :nenau Weird combination but I ate it. Meatballs were nice though.
As for the chocolate pudding. A feckin cornetto.
Let's not get into the bacon. Just fat with a bit of meat and thirty pieces needed to make a butty.

Some of the most beautiful places on the planet seem to be home to the weirdest people serving the strangest food. 🤔

There’s a trail that goes from Espinama area to the top of the San Gloria and goes right past the Bear statue
In the 1990’s we used to do it daily as it cut out loads of boring roadwork on a 250-400 cc bike
Sadly it’s fully closed nowadays and only open to local land workers
Last did it in 2006 on my 1150 GSA and it was tricky on a big Adv bike, but doable down over towards the Espinama valley area
However we must have been spotted and in quick time the local Park Rangers and Police came up in 2-3 4x4’s and we had a massive bollocking and threats of arrest/fine etc
We pleaded ‘English’ ignorance and shrugged and they escorted us back to tarmac

I think I know which one you mean. In 2023 Skid, Astrro and I, thought we’d do a bit of off-roading, only to be met by the prohibitive signs and from memory a chain strung across the path. We thought better of it and around the mountain we rode like the rest of them did. Skid and I had great fun, he had a hare to chase up a mountain whilst Paul was playing catchup 😆
