Doc does Spain with our lass

And Doc joins the queue .
Only a 4 1/2 hour wait .
Meanwhile the Pont Aven is still at sea

It's a short walk from the Gran Hotel de Jaca where Doc has booked I think.

I have dined there on two trips. Decent set menu that included booze for 18 euros in 2023. If you are dining solo they still give you a whole bottle to the table. It was a decent Bobal tinto last time. They open at 8pm for non locals, who start rolling in just as you finish dessert.

McDonalds not far away if food is required at tea time.

If we can last until late we will take a look and cheers for the suggestion.

It’s the bar closed?
What time do you arrive?

I bet you crashed out, half pissed by 7 pm !!
Now if you’d had paced yourself and gone to bed at 11pm ish like the adults onboard, you might not have been wide awake at 2am 😜
And enjoyed the variable talent on the stage which can provide a good evening.

I had a February crossing years ago on my way to an African trip and it was so rough the singers had to be sitting down. No queue at the bar though.

Sacrilege, especially when there are dozens of tapas bars ready to fill the gaps - the Brits abroad ... :)

you seem to have lost an understanding of British humour if you think that was a serious recommendation

anyway, the Spanish seem to be going the same way as the French with more and more international chains, pizzeria, Irish pubs etc such as this one in Jaca. Pub Dublin Road in Jaca

There is a cruise ship behind the grubby window.

Here it is. The vista.

goddam dreadful things...really dont understand the attraction of sitting on a floating block of flats, eating in shifts and surrounded by 100's of mainly elderly folk. I did a ''cruise'' on a containership - one of ours - many years ago which was a lot more fun. Spent most of the time on the bridge. Food was amazing and the wife loved the Owners Cabin which was like a small flat. Cost me nowt!:LOL::LOL:
