I went some years ago with a group to the pampa's of Argentina. One of the party was an elderly Irish man who got nowhere at all asking for 'burro' for his bread roll at meals...they just couldn't fathom why he wanted a donkey for his tea.
Burro is Italian for butter and there were a lot of emigrants from Italy that settled in Argentina, so that maybe where he got his idea from. Argentina is Spanish speaking so butter in Spanish is mantequilla, but he gave the waiters a laugh.
Well a nice stay in Jaca with a good ride out with Simon yesterday on some cracking roads and scenery.
Moving on day today onto our final destination before the ferry on Monday.
Short trip today 122 miles although might go further up the coast into France first and make the most of the day. And for the first time this trip a day off the bike tomorrow. Can you do to much bike riding.

His bike is smaller than I expected
There are massive differences between 'peninsular' Spanish and the numerous varieties spoken in the different South and Latin American countries, far more than, say, UK and US English - it's a real quagmire to get into ...
When I was organising our trips around Europe I always built in a day, sometimes 2, off the bike, a train trip somewhere, or a day sight seeing.....its a good thing!And for the first time this trip a day off the bike tomorrow. Can you do to much bike riding.
