Love Antibes!

Bugger it's going to be red hot again.
Change of plan Cannes first.

While you're down there I recommend
Villefranche-sur-Mer just along the coast from Nice. A lovely place.:thumb2

PS, I hope I've spelled it right.:D A while since I was down there.

Does Jane (humble apologies if I have mis-remembered her name) wake up early...or is she woken up by you being the early bird?

Managed Cannes and Antibes along the coast. Traffic plus the heat was horrendous.

it is lovely as long as it isn't snided with cruise ships as that is where they anchor up for Monaco ( or it was)

Careful you don't try and do too much. We did the other year, Picos, Pyrenees, N260, Millau Tarn de Gorge.Saw everything and saw fekk all.

Yep. Always a risk trying to cram loads into one holiday. Nowadays I am more than happy to do 200ish miles in the day, but see much more, have a day off the bike every few days and explore local town(s), alternatively take a train into the bigger city for example and have a good wonder about there.

Wife and I rode to Antibes in 2022. Stayed in an AirB&B for two nights in Juan le Pins. The place was only a short walk to a beach, bars and restaurants. The following day we walked all the way to Antibes, enjoyed beach session near the marina, then a spot of lunch and walked back whilst enjoying the views along the coast. A quick afternoon nap and we were ready to head to another beach in the evening and a few drinks. What not to like. So much so, that we flew from Luton to Nice last October for a week. The weather was just perfect. Train from Nice airport back to Juan le Pins, different AirB&B this time. Then a few days later a short train ride to Cannes and a day trip to Île Sainte-Marguerite. Then on a last day we had to check out the AirB&B by 11am. So we took a train back to nice airport, left or bags there and taken a tram to Nice. Fabulous day meandering around the old town. It was a great trip indeed. Will be going back there again at some point.

I think we have it just right Tim the way we do it. Only big mileage days have been traveling to the hotels.
