I’m just up the river from you in Koblenz. Thank god it’s stopped raining and the sun is trying its best to shine through.

Back on the bike today after our first day off since we started our trip.
First job today a supply run And Piesport for dinner and the obligatory picture overlooking the Moselle.

And a bit of a route I made but can be changed. I do like the Apple car play having the options of MRA, Google maps and Tom Tom

Doc, going back to the Indian v Harley question over comfort power etc , I recall you having an RT 1200 ? surely that or the K1600 would be a good bike for trips like yours ? you wouldn't return to that ?

I had the RT1250 plus a GSA1250 and a K1600B.
I would never say never on any of those again.

Warning ⚠️
Could be a nasty surprise in these woods here.
Please keep to the footpaths.20240905_090158.jpg

Only one comment on your planned route.

It is just over 100 miles long with 18 intermediate waypoints, 20 points in all including the start and finish points. MyRoute recommends having waypoint every 5 km / three miles. 102 divided by three is 34. I would use the expand function to increase the number.

See: https://www.ukgser.com/community/threads/the-expand-function.396964/

There will shortly be an update to the MyRoute app, which will allow you to start the route from anywhere outside of it. The updated app will provide an option for it to navigate you to the nearest waypoint, the route running normally thereafter. Having waypoints every three miles will make this new function even more useful.
