After having right knee replaced, it will not bend enough to rest comfortably on the peg of R1250 GS.
I need to be able to sit about two inches higher and an inch further back. What are my choices, other than getting a feet forward
cruiser or giving up. Not pleased with either of those!

How long ago was the op and did you do ALL the exercises afterwards. My wife has had a total knee replacement and has full movement? Have you explored other options?

What he says ....

Had two total knee replacements (at the same time) did all the exercises and much much more ...

... now have total movement/mobility in both knees :thumb

Couple of people I know personally, after a knee replacement, thought that being able to walk was sufficient, it's not. They lost mobility and movement and are now suffering. You need to push the feckers :rob

Knee had been bad for 50 years so was in bad shape. It's been 6 months of hard exercise, as in phisio, bike riding etc, yet still not quite there. Everyone is different. Still trying hard and aiming at improved bend.
AFTER the op, surgeon told me it will take 2 years! I'm not too sure it'll get much better now. It was stuffed though, so needed replacing, and it is now improving rather than getting worse.

I have my bike set up in a way that might help you, I’ve always rode a gsa with a low seat but as I’ve got older my knees and hips don’t work like they used to, so, I’ve got the Gilles pegs in the low position, up and back bar risers and lastly got a lowered gsa and use a high seat.

It’s amazing how if you think about it enough you can get the set up and knee and hip positions that suite you best

Depends on your leg length if you are 6' plus then consider a reprofiled (taller and flattened )rallye seat, allows you to move around and gives more leeway to get comfortable.
If you are a short @rse then a standard height rallye seat may help combined with GILES or similar adjustable pegs.
I have a reprofiled rallye seat on my gsa lc, for solo use it allows much more movement to slide backwards and forwards, can post pics if you want

I had a new right knee 15 months ago and after 12 months of hard exercise its now as good as its going to get (bend on the knee about 95 degrees).
I still do knee exercises every day and walk a fair amount, as Micky says push the feckers. It might not be comfortable but it pays dividends in the end!!
I had a 1200GS, air cooled triple black, and realised that it was getting to heavy for me especially with a new knee which incidentally I paid for. I sold the 1200 and bought a newish F700GS which has allowed me to continue riding without worrying about the weight. As I approach 67 I am still enjoying riding the bike and having fun as I get out at least twice a week.
As always it horses for courses so I hope you find the right fit for you.

Might be worth consulting a specialist sports physiotherapist. These people understand the requirements of sports people & will work with patients to achieve results more desirable to those of us who are keen to resume certain activities where greater mobility/flexibility is an advantage.

Yep, the physio that I have is good and is doing his darndest to help me get ROM. I have 105 degrees now and I suppose that's not bad.
Actually R1250 GS requires more than 110 to be comfy. Still working at it, but I think I may need a plan B.

had my knee done 5yrs ago. went for my checkup last month, and was measured at 120 deg bend. i had a gs up till 2yrs ago but swopped it for a vstrom 650 as the gs was getting just too heavy. i am 73past. as said the exercises are bloody hard work but worth it. i fitted cymark peg lowers on the strom which helps.
