Does anyone from Touratech check out this forum?

I
It has left her feeling that TT don't actually seem to test any of their parts for non-BMW bikes on the relevant vehicles but just say "yep that'll fit". - The result: She refuses to buy anything else from them and is sourcing a set of engine bars from elsewhere.
Again we have no issues with the service - only the quality.

Sorry to hear this. I can however assure you all parts are tested on the relevant bikes not only by ourselves but also across many many miles by adventurers around the globe.

What I'm looking at is getting the fitting bay back up and running, so anything like this can be dealt with by us on your behalf immediately. Watch this space as things are moving on this aspect. May be a few months off yet but I'm working on it.

It's fair to say we've got quite a few challenges ahead at TT but I can assure you, you will be seeing changes within the next two weeks which will address some of the points raised, then there's a programme of development that over the next 12 months will...well you'll have to wait and see.

Hopefully, you'll all have a chance to come down to TT's Travel Event on 4-6th June, you'll see some of the changes in action there and have a great time too.

But at what is your gruntle dissed?
A number of things, tail pack which didn't fit and took months to replace, temp gauge which never fitted, blah, blah

The problem was always the service. My wife used to buy me a small item of bling every Xmas, but she hasn't used TT UK for a couple of years.

Well I hope they all work because the ones on my bike are going to be tested through Africa this year. If they don't you might just hear me swear a lot from there :D

OK only really helps if you are local or in the region I would have thought

Would love to but will be in errrrrrr Mali by then hopefully.

I'll come out and bring the parts myself. There's lots of Africa I've not ridden in. Keep me posted.

Things change over a couple of hears. For a start TT moved to larger premises and so stock more. Also German production levels increased and the shipping is now better.

Get your wife to start saving for this Christmas, by then you'll notice the changes that are under way.

Although as you are in France, you'll still probably be better dealing within their region.

Lamble... Plummy ought to give you a bonus!!:aidan

Greg

Greg, there's changing the perception of Touratech by implementing new practises, then there's getting Nick to give out a bonus. :blast
I know which I think's the easiest to tackle...so back to the new practises.

We have one more bit of software to change, which should be done tomorrow, then by the end of next week you will see the most radical change that Touratech in the UK, has undertaken in it's history.

It's the first of many which may shock and pleasantly surprise you all.

where's the delete button gone, I only wanted to change a typo from hears to years?

Where I'm struggling with this is:

It's in the box....we get deliveries Mon and Wed, but not Bank Hol Mondays as the courier doesn't deliver, and any box that arrived the previous Wednesday would have been processed by the Thursday.

We don't open on Bank Holidays

We haven't got any women that serve behind the counter or are customer facing.

Somewhere along the line with this, things don't stack up.

Lambie, I am the person in question and sorry to correct you, but the factss are exactly true. The part were for a X-challenge that I once owned.
They were ordered personally by myself at the unit, leaning on the counter talking to thw TWO women and a guy who were there at that time. One, I am almost sure was Plumbies wife, but she was not the one who served me, and the other lady who was shorter, and possibly related to him also.
I am not in the business of distorting the truth, I have nothing to gain by it.
That was what happened to me.
By the way, I am also the guy who suggested to you to contact the VDSR forum to look for local properties when you were looking to relocate.
I speak as I find !!!
I am not the only local guy who have been let down by TT UK.
I hope you can and will make a difference and add to the few positive comments on here.

Well that's as we worked out, Nick's sister and his wife and his brother in law I'm guessing.

I'll stand by what I put, as none of them were employed to be customer facing staff. Nick's wife is, well, Nick's wife and the MD's wife is at best a tax deductable, his brother in law was in the fitting bay, and his sister, again at best a token admin.
The only knowledgeable folk being Neil and Nick.

Seems you weren't served, you just dropped in on a family reunion and they were just about. Only other time the ladies are called in is around NEC time, but then it's announced that we are running on skeleton staff.

Anyway, none of these folks have "worked" at TT for longer than I've been here and certainly not for a year or more.

You'll see that in the Wales section I've been looking for some new staff, so that there's always cover and we won't need to call in the family. So yep, that will be another positive to add to the big news later this week and then the general programme of changes that are planned.

So, hopefully we'll see you back in the shop sometime soon?

On the 13th of March i ordered a Desierto F fairing for my F800GS ready for a bike trip i'm going on in May! After a few emails back and forth me asking how long its going to take and TT telling me it will be 2 weeks and that was 3 weeks ago! I understand things will be out of stock and i dont mind waiting!

But i just feel for something thats costing me £574.56 it would be nice to be kept upto date with how the order is going like email i got on the 8th of April

"Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I am just waiting for a reply back from our factory as to when this part will be available and will be back to you shortly"

Its now the 21st of April and still waiting for the update! now that tells me the Factory didnt get back to them or they just forgot about me! :banghead:

I've lost all hope of getting it in time for May!

Dont loose hope matt and stop banging your head against the wall its gonna end in a headache followed by tears.

why dont you simply pick up the dog and bone ask to speak to a manager then tell him your beef, he will know doubt check it all out, pinpoint your part with modern day technology and bullshit and inform you of time of arival.

YOU DO REALISE YOUR WAITING FOR THE BEST SCREEN IN THE WORLD (aledgedly)

It never fails to amaize me why people just text, or snail mail and wait and wait and wait and wait :blagblah

The people (all) I have spoken to at TT have been most helpfull and polite, Ive had free postage - express next day post- and free parts from TT there products are great in my opinion, Rugged roads a home grown Tosser camped company are better in most cases have far better design and cheaper products and better service cheaper postage :blagblah in a ever expanding product line. (check out the new 800/650 Black rad Guard I bet TT end up copying it :augie)

I think in general up to now with TT it like its got to arrive from Germany theres a shipment in later this week maybe it will be there (touch wood) then when it arrivs, sorry its not there.
but great product list :thumb2, friendly help full staff:thumb2

Problems, logistics, comunication, overpriced, but in my opinion if you want it suck it up and deal with it! And FFS pick up the phone if you feel your waiting to long. :blast

I dont think a month goes by without me drooling over there webb site:drool

It realy is the best screen in the world, unless..............................

Dean :aidan

Its good to talk :blagblah

Hi Dean

I understand where your coming from with regards to just giving them a call but what cant be put in a quick email that can be said over the phone! Maybe i've just been spoiled with excellent service from other websites like chainspeed and nippy normans.

Anyway i am looking forward to getting the screen and sure it will be worth the wait!

Oh and ruggedroads is in my favorites :thumb2

Hi Matt,

In a carlesburg world yes it should be so but people hide true emotion behind text, forum, webbsite email. a manager might read your mail but .............

(like here the fearsome internet worriers in real life are like Albert Tatlock)

when you phone and ask for a manager (at the point your tired of waiting NOW!)

you get there name, making them personaly responsible to get back to you and they will ask him for his direct number or mobile, first and second name! Its part of there job!

Your right you shouldnt have to but sometimes it just cuts to the chase and gets the service that your money deserves:thumb2

good luck with it phone now ,

RR top company :thumb2

if Touretteatech did monitor this forum, would it make any difference?

well i am not sure if you can order from germany but i can highly rate them. i knwo touratech state if you have a main dealer in your contry they will only pass the order ontot hem and you get charged the uk price not EU price.

funny thing is everyone says they are over priced, but when you go onto the german site their prices are heck load cheaper in euro than the uk shop.i think the sump guard was 20euro cheaper than uk site.

so i deal always with german site and have had nothing but great praise for them. they will email you tracking number just state you want it on order form and i had 3 large packages delivered on 3 seperate occasions within 4days to ireland and thats some going concidering the delays i usualy wait.

i have rang the uk shop few times for parts and info and never got the reply phone call they promised.

also german phone and email service are fast and efficient

and the other lady who was shorter, and possibly related to him also
Not unexpected since they are in Wales, after all.:)

I thought TT in Germany wouldn't deliver to the UK to protect TT UK? How can you do this?
