Does anyone from Touratech check out this forum?

On average this reduction is between 10% and 13%??
Should of waited to buy the Desierto, oh well you win some you lose some!! :blast

But it puts the Xenon/Fog headlights back on my wish list :clap

Good work Touratech!!

FOR WHAT ITS WORTH

In the past , ive ordered stuff from TT uk,got the reply,NOT IN STOCK,WILL CONTACT YOU WHEN IT IS.
Never ever heard another word.

Wouldnt use them again.
:augie:augie:augie

JPR, that's all part of the IT upgrade that I'm getting estimates in for. Looks like auto messages didn't create a reminder or any associated link to the stock.

As I mentioned, there's back office systems that need working on.

Oh and F650 Puma, you're a thunder nicking, thunder nickerer.

Where's the Thursday news?

For the record i have probably bought about 30 items from TT over the last few years... All but one arrived promptly and when advised, one even the next day. (the one that didnt arrive was 700 quids worth of panniers which i cancelled 30 days after placing the order because they had 'forgotten' about the order... ouch!)

Saying that if something looks usefull i will buy from them again... my advice would be to chase orders yourself if you want it that badly, i'd do that with any firm, not just TT.

.

Puma the official TT mole and thunder nicking, thunder nickerer got it right.

A price reduction across all TT branded parts. It's not a sale, this is a price reduction, so not a time limited offer.

We are also making our largest ever stock order, so more parts will be in stock. This has come about as a result of better terms from Germany. Note that doesn't mean we get stock for less, just that for a while we have better payment terms, so can manage cash flow better, we hope.

The new stock levels should be in by third week May, but the price reduction is immediate, approx 10-13%, but obviously things in the clearance corner are about 20-30% lower.

Anyone got any objection if I ask for this thread to be moved to vendors perhaps? It hardly seems to be relevant in this 650/800 section does it.

Sorry for half inching your news, but you was slow coming forwards :thumb2
and you did email me :augie

As for this thread moving did you forget the original question. surely after high jacking it and using it as an advertising soap box talk for TTuk.

perhaps with the extra money TTuk made from the poor guys and gals who got your thunder news to late. TTuk could stump up £12.00 to subscribe and enter the Vendors section with this lightening news Flash :D :D :D

I take my hat off to you LAMBLE ,youve stood your ground and did your best to address some of the criticism aimed at TT Uk.
I wish you luck, and Iwould imagine if you,d got enough clout, things @ TT Uk
should change for the better.
:thumb:thumb

well I would PM you but I can't....:blast the machine won't let me....:augie

Cheers Puma, Cheers Lamble. Even at the reduction, I don't think I can afford anything. Good laugh though.

However, there does seem to have been a veiled recognition of past failures, and an intent to get things better. So funds allowing, I'll give them a go.

Lamble. Your defence of the indefencible is laudable. Having said that, I think you could have saved yourself a lot of agro, and won more friends (customers) if you'd just put your hands up to past failings and said things would change. You've come up with a price reduction, but no real indication that service will improve. A few people have complained of prices, but most of the criticism has been on service, and nothing I've read today really fills me with confidence that things will improve.

At the end of the day, when presented with a price we have a choice. However, when presented with bad service, we're behond choice.

Mind you, the instrument back panel with power socket looks good.

The worst case of pricing I have seen is the Safari Fuel tank for the KTM 950 Super Enduro which I am looking to buy.
TT Germany = approx 700GBP
TT UK = approx 800GBP
Adventure Spec = approx 620GBP

Seems a little bit mental to me!

Seems crazy :blast

But it's a common issue throughout with TVs, motorcycles, cars, or any other consumer goods, where prices and market forces can vary significantly.

The internet has changed things alot, it gives people a greater choice of supplier, price and delivery. It's up to the buyer whom he buys from and the price he is prepared to pay :D

edited: bollocks someone beat me to it :blast

I only have the ability to change from here on, I can't change what happened previously and of the six months I've been with TT in the UK, I've only had any impact in the last month really.

It is, and has been a one man show.
I come from a different back ground and it's not easy to grasp some of the decisions that have been taken, either as a customer prior to joining, or now as an employee.

Let's just say that there's been a recognition that things can't stay the same.
I and the others at TT will be working to create a better business for you all to deal with. It's not an over night change, but as you can see, one bitter pill has already been swallowed and I'm working on some other initiatives that will help, hopefully a new website will be along soon, and by the time of the NEC Show this year I hope to have the next big news item ready.

That of course is if I'm still at TT by then, they do seem to have a reputation for turning over staff here in the UK, not so elsewhere in TT. That might be part of the problem.

Check out Clearance Corner (home page of our website - not the German site...I know it can get confusing, so it will be changed) on a monthly basis, you may find things popping up there at special one off prices, we also get lots of second hand kit, or things Nick has taken to try out, so just email and we can have a look in the warehouse and see if there's a bit you need.

go on then give us a clue what's your email...:augie

so I bung you the proposal we've sent in about 12-18 months ago
