For the GSA BMW alloy boxes ?

I looked at the BMW straps last year and walked away cos they weren't cheap, but the more I think about them, the more useful that I think they could be. I seem to remember a sum of approx £50 and cannot remember of that was each or for the pair.

I cannot find any photos, but they also function as a carrying handle whici I would find very useful. How secure are the boxes when full and held by their lids only?

I cannot recall anyone on this site discussing them ... and I have tried the search facility ! There is lots about ROK straps though.

I have them, about £20-22 a side and very usefull, great for carrying a full pannier, great for strapping excess baggage on as well, simple to use, even have 1200 Adventure written on them what more could you ask..:D

Do you have any pics if them Funners ? How adjustable are they, i.e. how large a bag would they enclose ?

they'll strap on the equivilant of the pannier inner bag as thats what they are designed to do;)

I also have some ROk Straps and they are excellent as well....I like the BM stuff tho as it doubles as a carry handle

Cheap Straps

If you want a cheap option, I got a tie down set from Aldi last year for about £5 including 4 straps and some bungees.

I do have the straps (actually, only one that I purchased by mistake!!!) and now I find myself looking for one or 2 more (impossible to find in Canada)!!!

They are so solid, practical and worth the price (ok, they are a bit too expansive but...)!

In other words, it makes my travel life much much easier! Now, it's easy and quick to put and remove luggage that are on top of my panniers! And for me, it's a part of fun travel! Furthermore, it makes the heavy box easy to carry to my room if necessary!

And BTW, they are easy to ajust and the straps are long enough to tie a fully loaded (large) North Face Duffel Bag.

Good luck!
