If Barry sheene ever rode a bmw r90rs. I only ask cos someone I know has found an unusual rs in bmw motorsport colours and it's claimed to have been ridden by sheene. This maybe bollocks but you guys may know. I'll try to get a pic to show you tomorrow.

Sounds like bollox to me. There's so much of it about ref old race bikes, who raced them, its so and so's old bike etc, when we all know most old bikes were stripped at the end of every season for next year's bikes and after a few years the parts from an old race bike were all over the world.Sad, but that's the reality.I immagine that if you were to gather up all of Barry Sheene's race bikes,there'd be more bikes that he'd actually raced.A nice story for the lads down the pub though.

Never heard about him on a Beemer - before the Suzuki I think he mainly rode Matchless, Norton etc.

It's an unusual bike

Looking at the pic the frame doesn't look like a bmw frame as it has some sort of bracing around the rear of the gearbox. It's got a swept back nose Fairing and a very 70s seat unit. The bike is White with motorsport stripes riming the full lenth of the bike with an m logo at the end of the seat. It's also got 33 as a race number. I'll try to sort a pic.

It it's got a modified frame it's definately been raced at top level, my frame's been modified and I have it on good authority it was riden by Mick Grant, just can't seem to find any evidence.....

Somebody found a harley owned by Elvis in a potting shed in ramsbottom apparently

I heard he left it there when he mistook the alotments for the towns park and ride. He was gigging at the wedding of a local couple and ended up getting mud all over his blue suede shoes!!
So upset was he, that he forgot about the Harley and got a taxi to blackpool airport after the show. He left the country under the cover of darkness never to return.

I know this all to be true because I've seen the pictures of both the Harley (which has Elvis written on the inside of the airfilter cover) and a picture of the dirty suede shoes!!
