Kisan Vectralights, on the upper outside edge of my Vernatechs......

They're amber from the front, red (duuurrr!!) from the back and the reds go double bright on braking, and flash when indicating.

Only fitted because people can't see my indicators outside of an arc of about 45 degrees from centre line, which I wasn't happy with.

Much happier now....and as an bonus, I can now set my indicators to stay on with reduced power all the time, they cancel automatically (and I can set the period or stop this), If i hit an indicator button it flashes as normal but I can hit the same button again rather than use the cancel button (hmmmmmmm..... ) and finally if I push and hold an indicator for a few seconds, I get rapid flashing of all indicators to indicate a laner change.......sounds crap but it's actually quite eye catching and thus hopefully improves my chances by a few gazillionths of a percent

Not cheap but good service as always from Nippy Norm.......

Piece of piss to fit, straight swap of flasher unit in fuse box, a few holes drilled in panniers and plugged with blank grometts slitted with scissors, will be finished off and sealed with black silicone sealant tommorrow.

Well akkshully, funny you should say that....I haven't had an autoswitch fault since I fitted the signal minder and I'm wondering if the constant current is keeping it reset (like when I had to flash the hazards to get a signal again)

Yeah yeah I know, the garden needs weeding, the gate needs painting etc etc....but check out the tiny ikkle but very bright lights (taken in full sun but still visible.....niiiiice )

LED repeaters

Got these very neat little LED's from M&P

£16.95 and I've just wired 'em straight into the standard indicators, and used plug and sockets on my wiring so they're easy to disconnect when I take the panniers off.

You could fairly easily wire them up with a reduced voltage from the rear light feed as well to use them as running lights I spose.......with Black panniers the width of my VErnatechs, that's one thing I liked about the vectralights.....

They're illegal though, but WTF





PS ahven't got round to doing the plug/sockets for disconnecting them as I don't often take the panniers off, but I've bought some 4 pin din plugs and some chassis mount sockets for 1.40 each from Maplins to wire mine up...seemed an elegant solution with the flush sockets, and I've got some rubber caps somewhere that'll fit over the plug ends when they're diconnected.

What sort did you use?

Wiring connectors

"Ugllebugga" put this link in my thread searching for a suitable connector. They're just what I needed. Very good quality and fully weatherproof. They're a bit fiddly to do the soldering, but worth the effort.

As you can see, my Vernatechs are a bit more visible than yours.... and the slimmer version, so I'm not too worried about running lights.
