When I was first enquiring about the R1250GSA Trophy I got the salesman to run off a spec list of the 'stock' new bikes they had, and the spec sheet I got ticked all the boxes. He's since left and I've been dealing with another salesman who doesn't seem sure on a number of things. I'm waiting to hear back from them, but in the meantime if I could have some reassurance from you knowledgeable chaps it would be appreciated.

Once I placed the order I asked for the spec list to be sent across to double check it's the right bike, however the list doesn't specify gold spoke wheels. On the old list it sai "77K+ Gold Cross Spoked Wheels" but on the second list it just says "077 K Cross Spked Wheels II", does anyone know if these are the gold ones or black ones please? On the second list is does also say "0457 Style GS Trophy" which I believe is the pillion package and godl wheels but not 100% sure.

Also, the additional fog lights aren't listed separately like they were on the first list (which listed as "562 LED additional Fog Light"). The new list does say "562 additional headlight", it's the same code number so I'm just wondering if it's a typo and should say additional foglight not additional headlight?

I have just looked at my ‘New vehicle order’ document from last year on a 1250 GS TE. That’s the point I paid my deposit.

This was a bike that was already in the system, not a customer factory build.
It clearly states Gold Cross Spoke Wheels.
It also states LED additional fog light.

Along with all the other costs this document shows the total price.

If you have you paid a deposit you should have this document.
Hope that helps.

Thanks, my order form just says R1250 GS Adventure TE, factory fitted options heated seat (£255) and GS trophy (£630). This was already in the system too.

The first salesman I dealth with was great, knew his stuff and very competant. I could be wrong but the one I'm dealing with now seems as though he's new. I was assured all their 1250 GS Adventure Trophies (Gravity Blue) were all the same spec, but until I see it in black and white I'll have my concerns.

Suggest you speak with the sales manager to put your mind at rest. (y)

Will do.

Oh, and something else that’s irked me is that I asked if they could fit my optimate charger lead and bar risers prior to delivery and they said yes of course,… for a fee  I’m spending £20k+ on a bike and they can’t even put these on as good will. I’ve always had the dealer fit the optimate lead in the past (first time for risers) and I’ve never been charged.

Which dealer? I use Wolverhampton and they are very good in my opinion. They did the above + Mudsling etc once for me on a trade-in to new and without even asking. (y)

I don’t want to name and shame whilst I’m still waiting on the bike ;) They’ve changed hands twice since I last bought a bike from them and they have done it no question in the past.

Can't help with the wheel colour as they come with either black or gold. But all Adventure TE's come with fog lights. The charger lead is dead easy to do yourself. In reality the dealer would probably be reluctant cos they want you to buy the BMW Can-bus charger that just plugs into the accessory socket.

Instead of an optimate lead, I fitted (made myself) a female DIN socket in a stainless bracket, wired in 15 amp cable inline-fused to the battery. Nippy etc sells a similar kit if you don’t want to make your own.

I can optimate through it plus also run a tyre pump or heated clothing……. Try doing that through the onboard (canbus controlled) socket.

Yeah, This is similar to what I did, but I have a Ctek charger.

Same idea and location as mine.

I also have a CTEK unit but I cut the hateful old optimate style connector off it and fitted a male DIN plug instead. It fits both my GSA and Tmax (which has a female socket in its glove box).

I also made up a short adapter lead from female DIN to crocodile clips for use on loose batteries or car terminals.

Thanks for all the replies. Panic over, spoke to the sales manager today who to be fair was excellent. Bike does have the gold wheels and fog lights, and I'm not being charged to have the optimate fitted :thumb2
