Does size matter?

Been racking the one remaining brain cell but got lost working out all the zeros involved!, so
how big is a terra bite? is it a 1gig x 1gig as I suspect?. All piss taking expected but an answer
as well would be good. I have been amazed at the size of some hard drives available and all reasonable price.

Watch out for certain companies that sell computers where you get a small amount of 'free' space on a cloud based system as part of the deal but the machine you buy is set up to save everything to that area. The next thing is that you run out of space within a couple of days at which point they try to sell you additional space that you don't need because you bought a machine with a terabyte of memory.

That'd be PC World before anyone asks

Cheers, that's what I thought I've looked at my external 1 TB hard drive and thought that's not working, suddenly realised it's just such na massive capacity the my little bit on here had hardly dented it!. (All porn saved!!).

As per the link it depends on what you are looking at. Hence 'Pretty Much' rather than 'Exactly'

Disk Storage
