I noticed a comment elsewhere that the stock seat gets more comfortable after "some miles".

I've done a little over 6000 miles in 15 months and I seem to be experiencing the same.

Have any of the other people who have done similar or greater mileage come to the same conclusion?

Or, is this a figment of my imagination?

Or am I just learning to move back to the wider part of the seat more often?

Has my bum got bigger?

As the weather has been on the cool side does the extra padding from riding for the last 7 months with a winter liner in my Rukka trousers make the difference?

I would tend to agree with you and I managed over 300 miles in two sittings recently split at 90miles for a refuel and whilst I wasn't fresh the 2nd leg of 210miles was the furthest I'd been on my butt on anybike without having to stop and slap the @rse cheeks back to life.

Mines still relatively new and stiff, but just done a 300 mile trip. The grippy material and forward slant used to leave me wanting to sing in a choir
But with the seat mod to make it more level, I'm pleased to say that not only did the wedding tackle remain unsquished, my posterior survived much better. :thumb2

I forgot to say that I did the seat mod (different rubber posts) very early into my ownership of the S10.

I reckon people just get used to it, more likely their Arses bedded in.

I just got a re-shape and extra foam from that nice Tony Archer Fella - £100 including postage for both seats.

Rode from Djon to Burnley on Sunday (little rest on the Calais/Dover ferry) with no stops apart from fuel. c690 miles (400 miles pervious day) and no problems with the seat.

Bike was new in April and now has 5200 miles on the clock
