Does the catalytic wottsitt get clogged up with short journeys?
Due to other commitments the bike hadn't had a good long bash for about 5 months. It was just getting used for the 18 mile each way commute. Over that time I'd noticed that the fuel consumpution had gradually gone from 51+mpg to less than 45.
Two weekends ago I managed to get out for a 350 miler around Snowdonia and since then the fuel consumption on the daily run has improved dramtically to the previous 51+mpg.
Does the cat thingy get clogged up if it doesn't have a sustained thrashing every now and then?
