The question is in the subject line.
I had my 820-mile service done today (A mere 14 days; still, it took longer than I hoped, due to weather) and the bike's doing fine... but I think I have pinned down that heavy use of the back brake (eg: an emergency stop) at slow speed, causes a weird smell to permeate the bike.
Maybe something to do with the rear ABS being activated? Or perhaps the hot pads smell? I don't think it's the front brake because that sees a lot more use, and I don't notice any smell there.
Perhaps it is just the less-used rear pads, bedding-in? Did anyone else notice this while running-in?
