Hey guys,

Sorry if already covered, I tried searching, but crazy anti-robot criteria in search page meant I gave up after trying to search 3/4 times.

I have my bike going in for its 12k service next Monday. I was a bit astonished to find the bike unwashed when it came out of its 6k service. I bought it new, and been taking it back to the same dealer, its only 5 months old now, so they know I use it well and them for my servicing, surely a splash of water and a little TLC would go somewhat towards the hefty dealer service price?!

Yes. Always.

I guess with a bike like the GS the dealer would be worried about getting water around electrics/ switches etc thereby causing issues leading to complaints.

No. Never. Nor my cousins, nor my uncles, nor my father in law.

I wonder if they get people whinging that they have scratched their pride and joy etc...?

I think that's a valid point. Customer brings bike in fairly dirty, dealership cleans it up, customer notices something for the first time that dealer has not caused and points the finger at poor old dealer.

Yes. Allan Jefferies in Shipley wash it :beerjug:

Mine did at the 6k service, and they tried to charge me £12 for the privilege............... They did drop the charge after a few choice words though.

Bahnstormer always wash mine when it's in for a service. In fact they wash it when I turn up for a cup of coffee :thumb2

Cotswolds BMW always clean my bike even if if I just pop in for a coffee! Cheers Alex, josh and Nick
