Does ZUMO 500 come with Mapsource software?

Hi,

Does anyone have the Garmin Zumo 500, and if so could they tell me if it comes with the Mapsource software?
I know the 550 does but looking 'round the web is inconclusive as to whether or not it's included with the 500.

At roughly £100 difference in price and the main difference in spec being speaking road names (and the car mount in the box) I think I'll be going for the 500 but I really would like Mapsource too.

Be aware that if you buy from Pixmania it will most likely be a French version with France pre-loaded into the unit not UK & Ireland.

Don't worry - I did this and changed the pre-loaded maps over to UK myself (not that complicated, but don't expect any instructions as you're not supposed to do it) and have had absolutely no problems whatsoever. Only other difference will be that you'll need to change the language (simple menu) and the wall charger will come with a converter plug.

To change the preloaded maps to UK & Ireland you need to back up the original maps, delete them from the Zumo, use MapSource on your PC to install the new set, then change a filename on the Zumo. While you're at it you can install an upgraded basemap too. It's kind of documented on http://www.zumoforums.com/ and on here. I can PM you additional details if you need them.
