Dolomites and Livigno 2009 - link to a long report with pics

After the successful trips to The French and Swiss Alps - 2006 - The Pyrenees - 2007 - and the Hautes Alpes - 2008 - BBOT (Bewdley Bikers on Tour) decided that 2009 would see them in the Dolomites and Livigno. Rather than post a long trip report, Kyle who is one of the BBOT riders and an expert in website design, decided that we should have our own website and that all our trips should be available on the site. Hence the slight delay in bringing this report to you as the final details were only finished this week

I think in a lot of ways I prefer the HP2 Sport to the 1000RR? Anyway looks good less snow than we had at the GG in July

Enjoyed the photographs very much. Quality.

I'd agree with most of your group about the Passo Duran.
I can't think of any reason to do it again.
You have to find out for yourself of course but, I'd not recommend it unless it's an essential means to an end.
'kin hated it actually.......the half melted tar, mega blind bends and works lorries were not relaxing essence of fun!

Livigno

Livigno is a good place to base yourselves on tour as it is a tax free principality and offers cheap petrol, bike gear and cheaper hotels than surrounding countries,
It is only a stones throw from the Stelvio/Bormio and is surrounded by some great biking roads
